Chelan-Douglas Health Administrator Luke Davies Steps Down from Health District

East Wenatchee, WA – The Health Administrator for Chelan-Douglas Health District (CDHD) is resigning after 3 years of service. His last day will be March 1, 2024.

Appointed by the Chelan-Douglas Board of Health, Luke Davies started his tenure in January 2021, during the height of COVID-19 hospitalizations and the beginning of mass vaccinations.

He has felt grateful for the opportunity to bring his global health experience home and work with the staff at CDHD. He stated in his resignation letter “I am proud of the staff for their dedication to this work and while there is still a significant journey ahead, I am optimistic that CDHD can continue to grow and improve to become a center of excellence for Public Health.”

The Executive Team of the Chelan-Douglas Board of Health will be convening to work with Luke and his management team to transition the health district to new leadership over the next month.

The Chair of the Board, East Wenatchee Mayor Jerrilea Crawford, stated, “It has been a pleasure to work with Luke over the last three years and I am grateful for his leadership especially during a time of a global health pandemic. I am confident in the staff and management of the health district and I look forward to working with them to continue to strengthen the agency and the health of our communities.”

The next Board of Health meeting is on February 26, 2024 at 3:00 pm at the Douglas County Public Services Building, Hearing Room, 140 19th St. NW, in East Wenatchee
