Immunizations

Immunizations

Immunizations are one of the most cost-effective and safe ways parents can protect infants, children and teens from 16 potentially harmful diseases. Vaccine-preventable diseases can be very serious, may require hospitalization, or even be deadly – especially in infants and young children.  For reliable information about immunizations read the following e-book: Plain Talk about Childhood Immunization.

Chelan-Douglas Health District provides outreach to rural communities that do not have access to vaccines.

Reasons To Get Immunized

  • To keep you and your family healthy.
  • To keep your community healthy.
  • To protect loved ones from disease.
  • To stop the spread of disease to the most vulnerable populations.
  • Because other parents and experts agree it’s the best thing you can do to keep your family healthy.

Where To Go For Immunizations

Local medical providers and retail pharmacies offer immunizations to children and adults. These Clinics may or may not charge an administration fee and office visit fee. Your insurance or medical coupons may or may not cover these fees. Please call first if you need assistance.
